In the prelude to the 20th Century, Pedro arrives in Tierra del Fuego, a hostile, violent land, to photograph the wedding of a powerful estate owner. The bride to be, pretty much a young girl, becomes his obsession. Trying to capture her beauty, he betrays the power that casts a shadow over the land.
Discovered and punished, Pedro is forgiven because of his privilege. He cannot escape and ends up being an accessory and accomplice to a society that coexists every day with the genocide of the Selknam natives.
