Chile, 1814. During the wars for independence, a farmer in a militia wakes up, deaf and surrounded by dead bodies. In his wandering, he rescues a horseman who has lost his sight in a recent combat. Abandoned, they decide to return together to their homes, dodging irrational events that the war has placed in their way.

However, as they get further from the battlefield, it is their wounds and nature itself that silently threaten to shatter their will to survive.
